Totally captivated in 2007 by the live camera feed of the Hornby Island nesting Bald Eagles in B.C., I was drawn into birding and have never looked back. Thus begins my account of what I'm fortunate enough to discover each day and perhaps capture with my camera.

Movie Time, Part One, with the Pileated Family


As promised, this is a follow-up post with a brief video of the Pileated Woodpecker family from last month. And hopefully it will have audio this time! If successful, more video clips to follow. 



Baby chatter began as soon as the young ones realized a parent was near. At times it was so loud I could hear it from inside the cottage:
