Totally captivated in 2007 by the live camera feed of the Hornby Island nesting Bald Eagles in B.C., I was drawn into birding and have never looked back. Thus begins my account of what I'm fortunate enough to discover each day and perhaps capture with my camera.

Footnote to our GGW Week-end!

I neglected a few things from my previous post, including the fifth owl species that we saw on our trip, a Long-eared Owl, even if it was only a fleeting glimpse of it...

But before anyone gets excited, it is NOT more embarrassing photos of moi, I'll leave that up to Ann and/or Murray.

...and speaking of Murray,  he was scouting out the island in advance of his inaugural nature tour to Amherst Island exactly one week from today, here's a link to his website. Be sure to check it out and sign up for his tour to Amherst Island while there's still time!
